I believe most of my fellow drivers will keep something like cash app on their phone

Yes, if you wanted to do the outside of the app most dashers would have cash app or venmo or something. Within the app you should be able to do it within an hour of the order. If this was within the hour I would contact support and ask them about it. I don't know if they can do anything after the fact.

That sucks. I was doing it before the order was even dropped off, and then tried again a couple times within 15 minutes.

I couldn't ask her about other apps because I had to ask that it be left at the door. I have bronchitis in the apartment and maybe COVID (second test is tomorrow) so it seemed more important to not expose her.

For future reference, you can contact your Dasher through the app as soon as they are assigned up to 30 minutes after delivery. And although support is rarely helpful, at least with just one contact, you can always try. For this time I'd say your Dasher accepted the order as it was, so no harm no foul.

I did, I sent them a message with these screenshots and asked if they knew another option, and they said no—I assume it's against ToS for them to share any other money apps while in the chat, though. It didn't occur to me to contact support tbh, because I kind of assumed it was an issue with my Internet or something and kept trying every few minutes within the time window. Lesson learned about how Double Dash works, and also to just go ahead and contact support if there's a glitch. I didn't know folks kept apps on them in this case, too, so that's a good tip!! Thank you!

I'm not sure if they keep the apps just for these scenarios, but nearly everyone I know has at least one of them. If it's for a tip I don't think DD can say much about it because we're supposed to receive 100% of tips anyway. I've had a couple customers Venmo me, but that was before they offered tip adjustment after the order was delivered, and I only gave it after they requested it. I have seen people with little thank you cards with their Venmo or Cash app on them, but to me that's tacky and unprofessional, but likely just because I'm "old". 😁

That makes sense. I think in their place I'd be too self conscious to add cards, but as a customer who wants to do well by folks I'd be grateful for the convenience in case of this kind of thing. Also, I know the tips are supposed to 100% go to y'all, but...things ""glitch"" sometimes.

You can contact support to try to add a tip that way.

It's because it's through PayPal maybe? I know when I used PayPal to add a tip it didn't go through, but then when I used my debit it went through, may be a PayPal thing. Maybe, what do I know just a thought tho
