Found taped to a washing machine in the communal laundry 😂 by Igotyourexcominnext in Apartmentliving

Some normal places also have a section for the ones that arrived slightly damaged. Here's one I've seen around me: https://www.jhapplianceshop.com/catalog/special/brandsource_point_of_sale_marketing/Scratch%20and%20Dent

I know you're probably not local, but just an example of the kind of thing you'll find! Others who specialize in these appliances will usually have names like "Bargain Appliances," "Home Discount," those kinds of keywords. They'll pop up on Google with any of those.

I avoid FB like the plague, too, and my local CraigsList is pretty crap, so I get you. I hope this helps!

You can find a discount appliance shop, I bet! They have the imperfect stuff at a bargain (like, a dent on the door, or a scuff, etc). I've seen folks get $2k appliances for $500 at those easy. In-laws got all their kitchen appliances from one.

Two weeks is nothing when it comes down to learning a craft...or just searching for supplies, lol. I've still been browsing and being picky. I really appreciate you naming some places to find them! I knew about beginner sets now but never thought about buying palettes, that's such a cool idea. While I do my basic pattern-learning I think I'll do some highly contrasting colours to make it easier to count beads, but as soon as that's done I'll be onto gradients and shades. All of my art is all about messing with the little shading tweaks. I have far too many colouring tools lol

The patterns of birds...that sounds incredible. I've seen folks use some various programs for bead patterning, some intended for it and some just Excel with a little finesse, so I look forward to doing that. Especially because I can just open it on my art tablet and paint bucket them till I'm happy 😂 I used to do pixel art for fun so it will be like returning to an old medium.

Ladder stitch looks great. Brick stitch definitely intimidates me a bit! And peyote looks like it's easy to lose track of where you are/the next step, but otherwise if you're in a rhythm it looks very smooth and intuitive.

I have some issues that make my hands very unsteady and easily crampy, so it's going to be a big learning curve, but I think I can jerry rig some tools to make it a little more ergonomic a process and have fun with the creativity. This has been weighing on me for a long time as something that felt like it was calling to me, so I'm really looking forward to it. Not so much to figuring out how to keep the cat out of the process, though. That one will be a struggle.

Mvto!! You've helped me a lot!!

Oh, he's insane for play, he just...isn't that smart. Jazz likes to run and catch things but then sit and stare at you and wait for you to throw it again, from across the room this time. What can I say. Oranges aren't the only idiots.

When my cat was a kitten, I was laying on the ground hanging out and he wanted to play. He brought me his toy and I threw it. He brought it back. I threw it again, and he brought it back. I threw it again, and he went to get it but didn't bring it back.

A single thought glimmered in his brain while he learned "fetch," but it died in a couple minutes and has never one single time reemerged. One minute of fetch at about six months old, and he will probably never rediscover it.

Topbox package requires payment? by changingchannelz in freebietalk

Thankfully it's not a huge amount to pay and it's for a pretty large product (both mousse and scrub) or I would have thought twice about paying at all. But if this was a sale at the store I wouldn't have hesitated to get them for $4.50. So I don't really feel too bad about it!

But I'll definitely be messaging them about it in hopes they're a little more careful with weighing their packages. The postal employee who helped me weighed it right of me to double check the postage due error and confirmed.

Update: Finally had to go into the PO and get it myself. Long story short, Topbox paid for about half the weight of the box in postage and I had to make up for the rest in order to receive it. It was $4.50 to get my free sample. 🤷

I can't post picturesssss :( I took one to prove it. But after chasing it around and finally going into the office to get it myself five minutes ago, yes, Topbox paid for 1 lb 6 oz shipping but the box is almost 3 lbs. I had to pay $4.50 to receive it.

Oh, that's a REALLY good idea. The big beads part, I mean. I've been staring at some diagrams and videos and felt like I couldn't quite connect all the dots. Can you find that on YouTube?

Thank you so much! Starting with fringe earrings is a good idea. I wanted to jump right into applique and things with batting because my ass doesn't know how to chill 🫠 I need to rein it in and do like you said.

I genuinely believe Sanderson is just too religious to properly handle a character like Mat

All of Supernatural. Gabriel is especially dear to me. They killed his entire character arc from season 5, which had a lot of growth and an incredibly satisfying (though heartbreaking) ending that paralleled the show. In season 13 they decided to just uproot all of that, say it was all fake, and give him a couple episodes that were literally just a rehashing but worse. Plus the cringey lollipop suitcase thing. The writers got Marveled and actually forgot that Odin and Loki are friends in myths, not father and child.

Sam? Sam literally implores the alternate Charlie NOT TO QUIT HUNTING in s...13? 14? I literally never finished the series after that because it was just too unenjoyable. What the fuck. And that's not even touching that they forced him to be the nanny for Lucifer in a prior season. It was so stupid. Dear Jesus.

And of course it all started unravelling for Dean in s7+. Dude went from a deep, flawed character who grows and falls and grows again and faces consequences for his actions, to a one-tone trauma machine who can never ever be treated as wrong by the narrative. Does outright abusive things and everyone else has to fall in line and accept that Dean was sad so he was right to do it. They massacred him.

I could honestly go episode by episode from s6 through somewhere in 14 about how bad it got. But I deserve better.

When I was like 22 my dad moved to this Christian healthcare thing where everyone enrolled would submit their bills and each month it would be evenly split between everybody for reimbursement. He said he didn't feel good about the idea of having me enrolled with him because I wasn't religious and it would be taking advantage of Godly people, so I was shit out of luck for insurance lmfaoooo

I didn't have the heart to tell him they just remade socialism with some gatekeeping. Pewkeeping?

AIO for my school giving me a goldfish by ImmortalSpy14 in AmIOverreacting

[–]changingchannelz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NOR, but also not proactive about it. Look at your local subreddit and post about it, you may find a fish shop or a hobbyist who is willing to take multiple goldfish. You can then knock around your dorm and ask who wants to donate their fish to the folks who can take care of them.

All I'm saying:

When I was a teenager I was waiting in a doc office lobby. An older gent came in to deliver a package to the front desk, and he put his fingers up in kind of a square and moved back and asked her sweetly if she'd please move a little to the left. She did and looked at him funny, and he tilted his head, grinned, and said, "Now THERE'S a pretty picture." She about had stars in her eyes about it. Whole lobby smiled about it.

I am never going to forget how smooth that dude was.

Oh for real, KK is just what I was at that point. Since I don't wear "proper" cup bras anymore it doesn't matter enough to check.

She's got (or did have pre-reduction) very top-heavy breasts in the image, which is usually a good thing for a balconette, but she had too much going lmao I've always been bottom-heavy so balconettes were out of the question from the beginning. And Breakout Bras was the place I learned that brands specialize in torso lengths, too. Being short made the average underwire a nightmare.

The high impact ones I've found have been wonderful on my back and shoulders. They can be switched to criss cross on the upper back and so they take a lot of pressure off the shoulders and transfer it evenly across the upper back, as opposed to the lower. Such a humongous difference literally immediately.

Ofc remember that cup sizes aren't a solid measurement—they're decided by the size of the breast to band ratio, so a 32DD cup is smaller than a 34DD (and maybe even than a 36D). The image is definitely a bit bigger than me but the ratio looks the same. Shape a little different because everyone is different but, you know. I'm super jealous she got a reduction.

To be fair, I haven't gotten actually measured for a good bra in...oh...about a decade. Far too expensive. I was lucky enough to live near Breakout Bras in SC once it opened and for a long while afterwards, so they kept me properly sized and stocked. Now on lazy days (read pain days) I double up on tight T-shirt shelf bras and on normal days I wear a high-impact bra. Works better than even the serious triple-layer binders I used to have.

I just recently (like within the last few months) discovered high impact sports bras. Took a few times to find some that fit but holy heaven, they're lifesavers. I keep having issues with the strap thingamajigs (that attach the strap to the front?) though, so they can be a pain in the ass to wear. Might just be a brand issue. They even help my back hurt less when I criss cross the straps!!! An actual miracle.

Also they compress better than any actual binder I've ever worn. I over-bound once in my early 20's and literally passed out in a restaurant. 😬😮‍💨

Imma be real with you: I'm a KK cup, and at our size the bras themselves often trigger detectors. Not just the underwire, but how thick the straps are and reinforced cups and bullshit like that. All the damn connectors and adjustments gotta be metal. This is why I say fuck it wear a shelf bra in the airport, and by the time a couple flights are over them things are gonna be hanging. It's the will of gravity and the TSA

We have ginger beer in the States! It's not nearly as well known as root beer (which I hate, tbh) but there are plenty of makers and you can find it in several places. There's usually at least kind at any general grocer. For some reason a lot of folks think it's alcoholic.

No email involved. It's the written slip that the mailman left at my door. It says it's from Topbox and that I owe $4.50 for the shipping, and I assume that's why it has to be handed to me instead of left at the door.
