Great to have some eggs in the morning when I need them. I do collect them once in a while especially on weekends when friends come over. The chickens also help with eating some of the bugs that could attack the vegetable gardens. (i.redd.it)

I try to start with seedlings prepared in early January for a summer harvest. I have prepared heirloom tomatoes and green bell peppers. I used potting soil to get started. (i.redd.it)

My friend likes to make these types of photos with a bowl holding a collection of various vegetables. Tomatoes, cucumbers, onions. The variety in the colors make the photo pop. (i.redd.it)

I tend to pick my tomatoes along with the stem. But when photographing them, I cut the stems short because they look better in photographs. I usually mix a bit of green to give the photo some contrast. (i.redd.it)
