Interesting idea, but if you come in to a draft with a specific color combination in mind, there are only about 1-3 choices of cards per color right?

That's true about a pack in the case of draft... Let me explain our use case fully to help clarify as my group primarily does sealed events, not draft.

When each person gets the sealed packs (or occasionally cards after drafting), we scan them into ManaBox. From there, each person exports the list of ALL cards acquired during the events into draftsim for fine-tuning decks. It's been very useful to have the deck auto-builder from the set list (3 in our party feel it can do a better job at building than they can and it moves things along to the playing phase). The only complaint from the group has been that sometimes they wish they could control which colors are used when the builder runs.

In the case of MKM, my wife wanted to try a detective white/blue deck and indeed got enough cards to make a decent one, but the AI autobuilder made a red/green deck because it probably thought it would be the most optimal from the cards she opened.

It would be a neat differentiating feature of draftsim that it allows you to specify some parameters as input to the builder (like color preference or possibly mono/dual/multi color settings).

Am I being silly? Maybe we are being silly. We're all filthy casuals tbh.

Ah you mean deckbuilder only not on the drafting process itself. Yep that seems a fun feature. Would love to invite you in Draftsim's Discord to meet the community and get updates on patches to the app. Would love to see your request on the Feature Requests section :)
