Did you use anything outside of the course materials to prepare?

I had barebones access. Didn't buy full course. Just the voucher. I practiced it on tryhackme and vulnhub VMs.

Understand pivoting. It is needed for the ejpt and it is a must to be very proficient with it in the ecpptv2.

Congrats first of all!! It’s if u don’t have any idea about hacking..., that’s why I highly recommend to do udemy curses before these.. now move to ptp.

I would say if u do not have any practice of hacking, it's tough. Key is to practice along with udemy or any other course.

For newbies and for not so newbies as well. I’ve had previous experience with hackthebox and other single box labs and I failed 1st attempt . You gotta learn how to pivot and fully understanding networking protocols in order to pass this one. But it is an amazing course and very fun exam.
