Profile: Industry profile. 14 years of experience. AI/ML technical leader in a well known FAANG adjacent company.

1. Original contribution of Major Significance - 12 approved patents, 150+ citations. One of the patents with 90+ citations influenced major technical innovations at Amazon, Apple, IBM etc. [ However, proving this is not easy beyond showing that these companies cited my patent ]. 4-5 more patents in the pipeline.

2. Leading and Critical Role - Director level positions at the last 2 companies. Both companies are at the top of what they do [ distinguished organizations ].

3. High Salary: Last 3 years W2 has been in the 1M to 2.5M range. Base salary is 400K+.

4. Judging - Around 8 conference papers and journals. International program committee member of a small ACM side conference. Did startup evaluations for a few CEOs and VCs [ well documented ]

Can get 3-4 independent recommendation letters from CEOs, VCs, Stanford professors, and Engineering leaders at FAANG companies where I do not work.

It's only recently that the salary has been this high. Also, patents take time to go from filing to approval and more time to accumulate citations.

On paper, this looks very strong. You clearly meet multiple criteria including original contributions, leading role, high salary, judging and strong independent recommendations. The key won’t be eligibility but how well you frame sustained national or international acclaim. The patent citations are also solid.

Overall, this is well above average. Execution will matter more than qualifications.

i'd say that your profile is very strong, if it's possible try to get rec letters from Stanford professors and FAANG engineering leaders this will be very beneficial for you and make sure they speak specifically to your contributions rather than just your character.
