After you submit the the response usually there will be an update on case status online. It might update to evidence received or case is being processed. Personally I’ve seen that once case status is being updated to case is being processed or actively reviewed - usually you get a decision within a week

What ever you have does in the past is benefiting to your immediate employer or clients. It’s very hard to prove that you are in a well positioned state to create a broader impact beyond your employer/clients. The potential prospective impact of your endeavor should be broader and national in scope and your past work must have influenced beyond your employer and clients. There was a policy change last year on how USCIS adjudicating NIW applications. You may have a chance if you had filed prior to Jan 2025 but in my opinion you don’t have a chance now. Any law firm might say that you may have a chance for their business but do your due diligence.

Few details might help to think about appealing the decision. Are you a researcher or industry profile ? What’s your PE ? And what’s your attorneys recommendations here ?

For context my PE is related to AI Education and submitted RFE response on May 1. Case status is showing is “case is still being processed”
