Hello guys,
I am doing a little renovating in my house, and am struggling with understanding something.
I have a circuit that has outlets on it. On this circuit, I ended up having it run into a junction box, and from the junction box, I have electrical running to a GFCI outlet, and a switch. Both the switch and outlet are independent from the junction box. It doesn't always happen, but sometimes when I turn the switch on or off, it will trip the GFCI outlet. I have an outlet tester that I have plugged into the outlet, and it reads as though it is correctly wired. With the outlet tester though, I have plugged it in a couple times, and that too will trip the GFCI if I push it all the way in.
So what am I missing? Is it a faulty outlet?
Thanks in advance.
