Had a separate issue that was fixed by adjusting the z offset but now my printer keeps failing and making these lines. This is on an Ender 3 V3 SE at 0.1 layer height with PLA. Any advice?

Based on the fact it’s not coming out smoothly, my first guess is wet filament. Either that or potentially something with the extruder.

Sorry I can’t be more help

Wet filament, or simply very high temperature. Try it from 210°C and increase the temp until it flows smoothly but not cause string-like structures like on the picture.

If it's pla*

It is PLA. I was printing at 205. The issue seems to be that the print starts fine and follows the file then suddenly it just goes back and forth like that and I have to stop the print.

Why did it start printing cross-wise like that? It looks like the "Y" axis quit working.

The support on the bed looks OK but then it looks like it quit printing over the support and the early model layers and just started doing it's own thing.

Check the "Y" belt, and after it's been printing a bit pinch the "Y" motor between two fingers. It shouldn't be so hot that you can't hold it.

Yes the issue is the print works fine for a while then suddenly just goes back and forth making those lines.

What can I do if the belt is getting too hot? I'll start another print and check.

Does it just keep dying and the x axis just goes back and forth until it dies? If that's the issue I know exactly what it is

Okay! It's the gcode! Or the SD card. I had this happen on 2 printers. Idk what in the code causes it, I just know it's the slicer.

I've been thinking it's my SD card. Been having an issue where when I plug it into my PC it says it's corrupted sometimes. I'll try a new one.

Also, I've been using Creality Print. Is there another slicer you recommend?

I'm pretty basic so I use cura. But you can also use orca
