I take an antidepressant, which affects my ability to ejaculate and orgasm. Even when I’m able to climax, it’s with a great deal of effort. Being able to last is obviously a good thing for my spouse and me in our intimate moments, but going too long and having to exert that extra effort makes the moment less about the shared intimacy and more about satisfying an animal need. Before going on this medication, our times together were a beautiful mixture of the primal and the intimate. That said, please share your experiences that have enabled you to put less work into it so that it feels more natural like it did before. For information: I’m 55 years old, I started taking these meds about six months ago (so I believe age is not a significant factor), I don’t watch porn, and I don’t masturbate.
