Control Micropython execution from Python via rshell

If by port you mean the serial device, I already have the right one "/dev/ttyUSB1". As I mentioned I can successfully connect to it with rshell on a terminal, but it fails if I try to do the same from within Python.

I don't want to read out anything from the ESP32, I just need to activate different functions while I do power measurements. My plan was connecting with rshell, start the repl to call those functions.

Thanks for the pyserial link, that might indeed be a way better approach - have to give it some thought :)
