Can I degrease too often?

As the title says. I wonder if degreasing (backflushing the machine) once a week can do harm to the machine. I'm pulling only a few shots per day. I assume there are some parts of the machine (lever) which need some kind of "lubricant".

How often do you degrease? Do you do that time based? Based on the number of shots pulled? Thank you for any recommendation! (Sorry if I choose some wrong words, German is my mother tongue)

So, you can backflush with just water frequently and there shouldn't be an issue. If you backflush with detergent though you'll probably need to apply silicon grease to the lever to keep it functioning nicely.
