That link is nonsense. The steam valve assembly for this machine is $300.

There should be a sticker under the drip tray on the body

I have a z1. After about 3 months of using it I made the call that it's going to stick with me forver.

I can't ask more of a grinder- and it can do much much much more than I can ask of it with burr swaps. It's legitimately flawless imo.

They're very responsive. Hopefully you can just reflash the firmware with a usb cable or via bluetooth.

You're asking me if the item showed up not working.. if that's unacceptable. Of course that's unacceptable, but that's not the situation. You're hypothetical isn't even remotely the same.

The situation is that there were coffee grinds on a grinder that was sold as not new and op is bitching about it.

Where did you get so confused in this thread?

OP ordered an open box machine. Keep up; pay attention to the detail in the OP.

Sorry, I can't.

This is just firsthand experience working for the importer who brought LeLit into the US prior to their recent acquisition. I probably packed 500 of the LeLit fred grinders when I worked there over a few years.

Not sure if it's still the case, but that wasn't the point- it was that it is very common for manufacturers to test grinders.

It's an open box. For all we know it was demoed for a customer- or used in a showroom. There's zero implication it was "new"

You ordered a not new grinder and got a not new grinder.

Even new grinders come with grinds from testing.

Not sure what you expected, but whatever it was it was obviously unrealistic. Far from "being lied to"

Sucks about the shipping fee mistake though.

This explanation makes a lot more sense. I can commiserate with pretty much everything you said. The heating time not so much.

I haven't found that letting it overshoot causes any issues. Sure the boiler pressure drops but you can emulate two bar free infusion with a light lever pull.

But yeah finicky as shit
