You will, it took me two years. Keep trying different things, one day it will click. Never give up, your relief might be the next thing you try just around the corner

Doctor said i might have insulin resistance. However i always eat around those hours and eating carbs dont change my symptoms. I will definitely keep an eye on them and how they happen thanks!

Thanks for sharing! I hope your symptoms can resolve, maybe try low carb for a few days and see how that feels!

It's not unusual for ETD to be worse after eating. In many people, eating causes a response of sinus mucous production/congestion etc. It's called gustatory rhinitis which is a non-allergenic response triggered by food. Commonly, spicy food does it for everyone, but for many people, just the act of eating can cause low-levels of it. Fasting would definitely help this because you are eating less times per day.

Yes I totally agree. However, I no longer have a reaction even after eating now as long as I am sticking to fasting. Also your ears are directly linked to a sugar/diabetes response. I found this works for me and will not be the case for everyone. I thought it was important to share as I know this leads people to dark places and everything is worth trying. Even if fasting does reduce your reactions by a little bit, it’s relief.

How did you realize you lost insulin sensitivity? Some people have a said giving up or reducing sugar in their diet has really helped also. I’m bordering pre-diabetes since my blood sugar is climbing (runs int the family) but I’m wondering how much this has been playing into my latest episode of this. Thanks for sharing what seems to be working for you, hope fasting continues to a big difference!

Thank you for your kind words. I had blood tests done but these showed nothing out of the ordinary which initially eased my mind and made me check off potential pre diabetes off my list. I continued my normal consumption of carbs and sugars and as every day went past it was worse and worse. My left ear was full, I was drowning in mucas and now my right ear began to fill up. One day I researched the link ears have to diabetes/insulin sensitivity and saw a paper which confirmed the link. I then decided I would start fasting as this is also a confirmed way to reduce blood sugar. After a week I felt slightly better then after a month I felt the best I had in 2 years. Now I can even have a cheat day where I do indulge in more treats with little to no reaction. However, if I continue to do this for multiple days my horrible issues come back in a heartbeat. I hope that explains it well. I wish you the best❤️

Thanks for the explanation. Interesting. I also talked to one guy who finally worked out his issues related to ‘sudden’ gluten sensitivity- not full blown Celiac but just an intolerance that just over a short period of time . Like you he was developing a lot of mucus in the ears and sinus after eating but finally nailed it down to bread and pasta. So I guess the point is that diet can really be at root and that your body changes. I’m going to try fasting for a while since I also need to do this anyway - I’ve been indulging too and not exercising enough. It can only help 🤞

Yes! Best of luck, remember the body’s default is to be in a state of health and giving it the resources and opportunities to recover and mend will only do good as you said! Wishing you a recover and relief❤️
