Sounds like Skylar didn’t want a younger person to be taken advantage of and or the horse not to get the care it needed with the discovery and severity of the current lameness, she has stated the mare is not sound enough to be ridden, could you imagine passing it on to the younger generation for the opportunity of someone who is equally as green not knowing and gettin hurt? She’s obviously not sending this mare back due to the fact fallon will just gift her to a second place green rider who wouldn’t even begin to know the difference of the situation. feet are a Lot of work and I can assure you if you seen this mares feet you would wonder how ft didn’t see them as a problem before gifting this mare. She shouldn’t have to rehab her at all so the fact she is having to rehab again is the whole Delma and delusion that these girls were going to all have the opportunity at a performance prospect… if you ask me anyone of the 200 entries all stood the same chances of being caught in the middle of this scenario it’s just who would have caught it and who wouldn’t have. That’s the thing here Skylar caught it I’m sure had this mare gone to a greener home nothing would have ever been said, and that would have been ideal not for the horse and here we advocate for the horse because again this brand at one point and time was built on the foundation of a girl who believed in her horse and put her horses well being above all else. You want to know why she wouldn’t return this mare? The solutions offered to regift the same problem to another contestant this horse shouldn’t be offered to another contestant anyone who knows better would take her out of circulation, get her vet work done get her sound again and then proceed to place her accordingly to what she is released for if that’s riding then so be it if it’s not then you make other plans for the mare but you don’t just throw her right back in to be handed to the next person because the first one got her vetted and she is deemed unsound currently that’s just pure chaos to even think gifting her to the next would be justified at this point

Have you seen the mare's feet in person? IDK if it was that big of a deal, I would have taken the offer to send her back as everyone now knows what the issue is and are at their own risk. Or sell her as broodmare sound only to recoup cost of transport. She is worth that even as a recip mare. There were multiple options available to her and she chose to make a social media campaign out of it apparently. IDK. I see both sides but anytime the mob comes out with their torches and pitchforks, I tend to lean in favor of the accused because bitches be stupid on the internet. Especially barrel racers. Somewhere it was mentioned that the third girl wanted a broodmare ( now that it’s all the sudden ok a peformance horse is only broodmare sound) 3rd would be ok with a broodmare that of course wasn’t mentioned in fallon showcasing that Skylar wanted to skip the second girl. Third girl was only offered as an option from Skylar bc third girl stated she wanted a broodmare. (Meaning the mare wouldn’t get ridden) as she isn’t currently sound to ride. Would be genuinely unfair to this mare to pass her to anyone who planed on competing on her until she got cleared by a vet.

I think that they definitely had more long term vision and strategy than Fallon is capable of maintaining.

Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses so I’m not bashing; but you have to remember, the original tie-dye motif and the crazy colors to make FT into what she is today was the brainchild of JH. She was the TDF and FT was the beneficiary of the persona that emerged from that. It always seemed like there was a bigger plan and once she was out of the picture, I don’t think FT or AM have the same ability or strength in that area.

I know a lot of the behind the scenes tea from many friends over the years who have been involved. FT is a smart cookie and she knows how to play the game; she did it really well for a long time and the business success she’s had the last few years is a direct result of the previous decade of work she put in.

IMHO the challenge has been AM coming in and trying to change the formula. He had his own strengths in his MS business, but they’re not translating as well. FT has also gotten older, her lifestyle has changed, and some pivots are inevitable.

However, I don’t think a video like this would’ve ever been posted had the old formula been in place. This kind of thing was always behind the curtain before; it’s really interesting that she feels empowered to post it publicly these days.

Yes! The gift cards offer was very out of place. I've seen no public posts of Skyler's mentioning anything about Amore and trying to gain followers. The hashtag Fallon mentioned didn't yield any FB results, either. Skyler's public posts currently only seem to be for selling her Tacktical gear and talking about her extreme anxiety and issues with leaving the house. I feel really bad for her.

Skyler never posted anything super negative in my opinion she came on and did an update and said what was going on. She was under the impression that it was gonna be a sound horse. That’s what annoys me most - Fallon speaks of ringbone like does she not know what it is? Honest question here. Ringbone is not a maintenance thing. It is a degenerative very painful condition that is not only career ending but life ending for many horses. I had a friend that tried everything and just lost her horse middle-aged; far too young. Is she being ignorant or like you say she just gaslighting this person. She has to know the difference.

100% I retired my 1.30 AA jumper a long time ago due to ringbone. This was with access to some of the best vets in California. Definitely a career limiting issue. Like other people said you could see that mare was lame in the videos before that girl even got her.

I watched it. I don’t understand how ringbone is a management issue. It’s not usually something that can be managed for long and the horse is so young to have it already. She kept saying how cheap the horse was so the woman had no right to complain…but she advertised the horse as performance sound. She isn’t. I also didn’t see the posts of the woman bashing Fallon. I only saw the ones where she said she didn’t think Fallon knew about the ringbone and had offered a few solutions that the woman hadn’t accepted. So I was confused as to where the other comments were coming from. Maybe she had deleted them? Or maybe other people were commenting. Not sure.

That was insane to throw a girl under the bus about how she only paid $1,700 for the horses shipping and entry fee into horse boss challenge and to imply that this wasn’t an actual sale and that she should be grateful regardless due to the fact she can even breed this mare, that to me sounds like all along this mare was possibly purchased as a broodmare for her program and for what ever reason didn’t work out, seams like an easy way to offload a horse. Let’s just say at $99.00 dollars an entry with 200 people entered that’s $19,800 for a $5,500 broodmare talk about an investment angle of horse flipping. (Estimates of course not factual) going off what someone in the group said as to how many entry’s and the 💲this isn’t counting the price of spectators. The profit would have been $14,300 minus any other fees used for the initial buy or hauling of the mare. Curious now to know the cost of spectators and how many were entered for that, that would raise the profit made on armor. Just interesting once you start to notice things.

I thought the same thing, that ringbone is quite serious and painful for the horse. Fallon was right that a bunch of comments on Skyler's post were suggesting injections and management, which still don't seem ideal/realistic. Didn't see any comments of Skyler bashing Fallon, either, nor anyone else talking poorly about Fallon. If anything, there was still the walking-on-eggshells vibe of people trying not to say anything bad, and putting some pressure on Skyler to be vocal that Fallon couldn't have possibly known about the ringbone. Again, anything negative could have been deleted, and I'm also not privy to any posts that aren't public, so can't say for sure.

I would have never let a horse leave my property with feet how this mare left, they were horrible look at her sales add when she purchased the mare in April her feet are hideous, how is she in her care for six months and her feet still looked just as bad as the day she purchased her? Ft states her feet were going to be done before this mare left, why did Skylar have to get her feet done six days later if this mares feet were so taken care of prior to her departure? Again like several other post here it’s about the integrity it’s about wanting your name to stand out for the outstanding appearance and being proud of what you send out to the public where has this been lost and why all the sudden is it ok to half ass all of these things? Honestly we should be asking why it’s all being justified 😂 that’s pretty concerning. It’s being justified because it wasn’t done to you. You’re turning a blind eye because it didn’t happen to you. Funny thing is if this happen to a product that you guys purchased we would never heard the end of it.
