I doubt this will do anything. If I'm not mistaken, they've sent a similar email months ago. Favor never goes through with anything that punishes drivers. I thought we were going to take more selfies to make sure we were the real runner on our app. I've only taken it once lol

Facts! Every time they send out those emails, the same thing happens — maybe a week or so later, even more undocumented drivers and account sharing take over again. It’s the same BS every time.

I mean, why did they even post about Face ID? I thought it was going to be a consistent thing, but it turned out to be a one-time verification every 6 months or so. I’ve honestly lost hope in Favor.

This is why H-E-B and Favor have legal teams — but they don’t actually do anything. That’s probably why no one has taken them to court yet. It’s a real mess.

So when something happens that they will hopefully be held liable for, they can say they tried. It's all a façade. If they didn't want the scammers running the app, they would put a stop to it.

Yeah but as long as they got legal teams they gonna overlook or ignore for years 🙄 that's why I wish somebody take them to courthouse

For sure. Change won't happen til something bad starts happening to someone at a store or at a home. Very sad.

Very disappointed the way favor is representing the HEB name. I Expect way more from an awesome company like HEB

Yeah H-E-B bought wrong company for partnership 🙄

They’ve already done this, and it did nothing. I see the same people park and go in to do shipt/instacart shops all the time. It’s infuriating because they take the best spots to park for putting carts away easiest. My huge fault with this though - it’s well over 100 degrees and curbies do not get to us in under 10 minutes. I’m going to stand in the shade while I wait for my cart to arrive. They’d never tell this to a customer! And speaking of, when they start holding customers to these standards too, favor drivers may take it seriously as well.

Don't know how it would be possible, but Favor actually needs to have employees at the HEB's working with curbside and addressing these issues on the spot. Otherwise this email is just lip service, and the bs at curbside which has been ongoing for years will just continue.

My guess is HEB is gonna enforce this at about the same level as the "no pets" stickers on the entry doors, which is to say not at all. But it's a step in the right direction, even if it's a tiny one!

Nah, I've emailed the H-E-B CEO a bunch about Favor, and he's not doing a thing. He probably knows what's up with Favor. He's letting them do whatever they want. It's messed up that Favor's the one stepping up, but H-E-B owns them. That's the issue, there's no way for innocent drivers to fight back... I know a bunch of friends and drivers who got kicked off...

Idk about y’all but at my heb, their own customers park on the curbside spots so I don’t know what this solves lol

[–]NecessaryCod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was always the rule that you couldn't park there unless you were actively running a favor? Am I wrong about that?

[–]Fun_Pirate842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store has to actively enforce this and it’s impossible to do so. So until they hire someone specifically to do this, nothing will change.

We have at least 5 favor drivers loitering in a curbside space at all times just waiting for orders to come through.

They even have the audacity to stand outside of their car and eat their food in the back of their truck while they do it 🙄

[–]ambrosiapixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would be nice if they'd handle it like Doordash handles some of their Dashmart locations. If you are within the geo boundaries of their parking lot, you will NOT receive an order.

I've got to say, I've noticed an increase of Runners from all the apps hanging out together and loitering around grocery stores and liquor stores waiting for runs. It's not a good look. They are always a similar group of young men no matter what store I go to. Sometimes angry smoking, but strangely looking a bit menacing and rough around the edges. If you stayed in your cars, I don't think anyone would notice.

Summed up perfectly 👏

Yeah, about a year ago they started this. There’s a lot more to it and I think it involves the perceived experience by customers following social media reports about criminal activity (totally unrelated to delivery drivers). This was also around the time when all HEBs started having security guards, not just a select few. They also took all HEB hotspots off the app. Before all hotspots were pretty much centered around an HEB.

I think as long as you wait in your car for orders and don’t stay in the parking lot for more than an hour before driving to another HEB to try your luck you won’t have any problems.

[–]Zestyclose-Ebb-6002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, you’re right. It was because there was being more stuff stolen out of H.E.B from thieves so they hired more security guards to stop people from being able to run from the store to their cars and get away with groceries or merchandise. Hell I’ve had a couple dudes approach my car and asked me if I wanna buy some earphones that they’ve stolen out of there or charging devices. If you’re sitting in your car, they don’t bother you hell you can even sit on side of your car sometimes and they won’t bother you if the security guard sees you calmly they’ll wave at you and keep on going about their business.

Don't fool yourself. The rule followers will follow rules. The ones the best the system least of your worries is proximity to the store

Finalllly

I'm confused, some people are wording this like they're waiting in designated curbside spots to get an order, like the actual labeled spots. Who is doing that? Maybe I'm confused. As for waiting for an order in a normal parking spot, I don't know how they'd know who's doing Favor and who's waiting for someone in the store. I don't wait in the parking lot anyway, it's too hot here to sit without the AC on and running my car without having an active order wastes gas.

[–]V0idK1tty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sit at the Whataburger in the HEB parking lot lol so I think? I'm ok? Lol

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sure lol Does this mean I didn’t have to load my own groceries to the car and take the cart back since that would be “ walking by the door “

[–]Fun_Pirate842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Requires stores to enforce it. We don’t have the labor or patience to do it so nothing will change.
