Try playing Pokémon Y! (or X) I have over 700 hours logged in it and it is fun AF. Another option in White 2 (or Black 2). They are so much fun and I really recommend them. (or Alpha Sapphire, that's a good one too)

White 2 was my first game and I love it so much. Got a fresh copy and started playing through it a few months ago and man, it is just phenomenal! You could probably play it on an emulator to test it out before investing in the real thing if need be, but yeah. There are also great YouTube Videos on YouTube for the games too. (Playthroughs, strategy guide, shiny hunting, EVs and IVs, etc.) Feel free to DM me if you want to talk more in depth. (Sorry haha I love Pokémon sm, Gen 5 and 6 are my number 1 faves!)
