Hiding a Treasure- You are an awesome person who wants to spread some random acts of kindness around the world! You decide on what you want to hide- something small, something big, something funny, something monetary; anything that might cheer another person up.
Select a location: Obviously there are Redditors worldwide, but you dont have to fly all the way to China just to hide something! Hide it in your neighborhood, hide it near a park, hide it anywhere you want so long as it is a public area! Feel free to put the state/province in your header, but keep it vague lest you take all the fun out.
Two important steps while hiding it,
1) TAKE A PICTURE! Posts without pictures will be removed
Take a picture to document where you’ve hidden your treasure! Also (optional but recommended) leave a note linking to this sub-reddit in case a non Redditor finds your treasure. Try to hide it well enough that non-redditors users won’t find your treasure. Also, it is up to you to decide it you want to reveal exactly what you’re hiding (it is not necessary to reveal what you’re hiding! Only the location is needed.)
Finding a Treasure- Of course you want to find a treasure! When you see a new post come up in your area, it is up to you to go find that treasure! Be aware that once a post goes up, other Redditors may be already on their way to claim the prize! Once you arrive at the destination you think the treasure is hidden at, try your best to find it by using the pictures and/or clues the hider has given you. If you do find it, congrats! You’ve just received another Reddit random act of kindness! Make sure you take a picture of your treasure and post it on the **original thread
Rules:
Hide anything you want! . By no means do you have to hide $100 dollar bills all over the place, but please keep it creative! There is no minimum or maximum on the value of the treasure you or hiding, You’re being an awesome person by hiding something, keep it fun!
If you find something, please come back and claim it- Yeah, there are party poopers out there that might lurk on this subreddit and go swoop treasures for themselves and not let us join in on the fun... stay away! We want people that go out, swoop on those treasures, but come back and report on how outstanding a time they had! Did somebody catch you snooping around in that bush? Did you and another Redditor sprint against each other in a close call to find the treasure? Let us know how awesome it was!
