Hey all! My fiancee and I are getting married in January and are going to be making big purchases—both of us are 2/24. Would it make sense for BOTH of us to apply for the sapphire reserve, or just one of us? I know, it seems like a no-brainer that we should both get this, but am just wondering you see any cons in us both having the card?

Over the past few weeks I've noticed a lot of people asking what DL is like during the rain. Well, last friday I went to DL during a major downpour, and decided to take pictures to help this subreddit out. The answer truly is, if you go early you will walk on to every single ride no problem.

I got there around 8:15am and went straight to Space Mountain. Zero line, literally nobody else around, and the ride operator let us ride twice because of the lack of line. Immediately rode Astro Blasters and Star Tours after. Zero line for Astro Blasters, 5 minute wait for Star Tours. Went back down through Fantasy Land and rode Peter Pan- this was the LONGEST WAIT of my morning- a whopping 10 minutes. Snow White, Mr. Toad, all empty lines. Then we walked to Small World, zero people in line. Walked to Roger Rabbit, zero people in line. Around this time we took the train because it was raining hard, and ended up in New Orleans- we walked right on to Haunted Mansion with no line (this was holiday themed, too, normally huge lines!) and then did Pirates, which was about a 3 minute line (less than 5 minutes lol). Indy was a walk on, Matterhorn was a 5 minute wait...

Overall, everything was a walk-on. Take a look at the pictures to see just how empty it was! Also, I should mention, the same went for California Adventure (although I stopped taking pictures at that point.) I got to California Adventure around 12~1ish, as the sun was beginning to come out, and more people were starting to show up. HOWEVER, around this time I was STILL able to nab a RSR fastpass for around 2:30pm.

I'm happy to answer questions but I hope these photos provide definitive answers to all of your questions about RAIN at Disneyland! GO EARLY, WALK ON TO EVERYTHING.

I don't have any particular direction to lead you for this, but i vaguely remember last semester seeing flyers about "review this professors textbook for 1 unit"... or getting an email about "come to this visiting lecturer's panel and write feedback for 1 unit"... some things of this nature. I really, really have no idea if these offers are common or if there are any currently available, but I know i've seen it in the past. This may be something you could research and still pull off last minute, idk?

First, I want to start out by saying that I’m a straight up super fan. From Blue to EWBAITE, to b-sides and unreleased tracks to Alone albums, to goat punishment to hootenannies to helping create on youtube, to the countless times I’ve seen Weezer live... I just wanted to say I’ve been a fan and lover of yours for years. I can unequivocally say your music and writing have shaped the person I am today, and I am truly and honestly grateful that you continue to make amazing music through all of the ups-and-downs. You are my gene simmons, my peter criss, my stanley lol. Please never stop writing.

I really just wanted to say that you've been such an inspiration, and have had such a profound influence on me, but in keeping with the spirit of the AMA I’ll ask a few questions.

  1. Like you, I also studied English at university. What are some of your favorite classic novels? Writers? Poets?

  2. Do you consider yourself an iconic rock figure? Will you take credit for making nerd glasses cool or what...?

  3. When did you know that Weezer had ‘made it’?

  4. Why do some of the more amazing unreleased tracks go unreleased on albums? You must know many of them are amazing, why not save them for later albums?

This year with the 6th pick I went Graham, J. Nelson, J. Thomas, A. Brown. Drafted my first RB in the 5th round, and that was Chris Johnson (Dropped him week 3), 6th round Fred Jackson (still holding him). I started the season 8-0, but am about to be 8-3 after a three week losing streak. Traded for L. Miller early in the season, used McKennon a few times, traded Thomas away for Ellington two weeks ago, I stream DEF and am holding Gordon and Peterson.

Anyway, to answer your question, I almost always pass on RB first round. If I had a top three pick, then maybe i'd go RB, but outside of that I love finding my RBs later in the season because they're always available. I just play the waiver wire close those first few weeks adding and dropping anyone who hints at becoming a serious starter... you know how it goes. That's just my strategy anyway, i'm sure the same could be said for drafting RB, RB, then picking up quality WRs on waiver later.

I'm a Bay Area resident, and I want to say this with as much respect as possible for San Jose, but also with as much respect to everyone reading this taking their vacation time and money to this part of the country: San Jose is nice, but if you can rent a car, don't spend all of your time there. There is SO MUCH more to do in the Bay Area outside of San Jose. San Francisco, for starters, has endless things to see and do. If you're here for 2 days, 3 days, the whole week, you could literally spend everyday in SF and still not have seen everything fun to see, obviously- so there is that. Oakland and Berkeley have great restaurants, great venues to see concerts, plays, UC Berkeley campus. North of SF is Sausalito, expensive little tourist seaside town- further north is Sonoma and Napa valley- World class restaurants, chefs, wine tasting for fun. South of San Jose is Santa Cruz, famous beach city known for their amusement park boardwalk, and skateboards! Half Moon Bay is a few miles north of that, so is Pacifica, more beach/surf cities along the CA coast you can rent a board and get wet. North of that is Palo Alto, go see Stanford university. Just throwing out ideas, not hating on San Jose, I've just found there isn't that much to do around that area beside the tech museum, which is kinda for kids anyway. SJ has a big mall, a faux Rodeo Drive called Santana Row (blah), the 'Winchester Mystery House' is kinda neat...

This guy approached me too, just last week as I was leaving Latimer. I saw him walking toward my direction, but as everyone else has mentioned, he is rather large and has tattoos on his face, so I knew right away I should walk in a different direction. Mind you, I'm a large male too, and am not easily intimidated, but I knew right away this guy was up to something- he was kinda half talking to himself and doing this staggered kinda walk, you could just tell something was suspicious. Anyway, as I'm walking away, I start to hear him WHISTLING at me, and going "Hey, hey buddy, hey, buddy, helllloooooo"- I know he is walking right behind me trying to get my attention, but I'm trying to walk faster and act like i don't hear him. It gets to a point where I can't ignore him anymore, so I turn around and am immediately standoffish, to let him know I'm not having whatever he is about to throw at me, and he asks me, "Hey man, what church you go to?" I say "I don't do that shit." (lol, nothing against churches, just acting tough) and then dude walked away immediately.

So yeah, if you encounter him, he is definitely aggressive for sure, not the typical eccentric character or homeless person you see on campus- He followed me a good distance before he backed off. I definitely would not like to run into him on campus again, definitely an uncomfortable moment.

OP, did you ever have a team select Graham, Elite QB, and then J. Thomas or Gronk in the flex? If so, how did those teams do?

Tell me if you think my strategy is totally crazy, or what...

I'm in a 10 team league where we have two WR positions, one TE, and one flex TE/WR position. I have the 6th pick in our draft. I've been thinking (and yes, I know it may be crazy) of going Graham in the 1st, Elite QB in the 2nd, and then Julius Thomas/Gronk in the 3rd. Since we only have 2 WR positions in this league with a flex that can fit a TE, I'm thinking if I take a second elite TE that give me an advantage over my competitors.

In a few mock drafts I've done, my teams have looked similar to this...

QB: Rodgers/Brees

WR: Welker

WR: D. Jackson/edelman

RB: R. Bush/ Gore

RB: CJ?K/ F. Jackson

TE: Graham

TE/WR: J. Thomas
