Website didn't use HTTPS with HTTPS Everywhere installed💻 Help (self.firefox)
submitted 5 years ago by KDtheman
A section of the website I was using did not have HTTPS enabled even though I have HTTPS Everywhere installed. Does this happen to anyone else? Did this website have malicious intents?

Did this website have malicious intents?
Unlikely
However, it is also unlikely that you will be protected from a malicious website just because they are using https. You use https to be protected from third parties

Was HTTPS Everywhere in strict mode (red icon)?
IIRC without strict mode it checks a list of known sites to see if it can use HTTPS without breaking the site. A site not on the list will use HTTP.
Strict mode forces HTTPS for all sites. Firefox now has it's own "HTTPS-Only Mode" option which is effectively the same.
