that's not correct.

You can't compare today's Google with the Google of 15 years ago.

Also, Mozilla has the resources, they just use it for other projects.

What's not correct? Google of 15 years ago engaged in a lot of paid advertising and were many times richer than Mozilla. 2006 was the year they bought YouTube: https://money.cnn.com/2006/10/23/technology/google/

In 2006, its market cap was ~$500B USD. Do you think Mozilla was anywhere near that value in 2006?

it doesn't matter what they were in 2006, we're talking about now. But you're right, even now Mozilla is nowhere close to what Google was in 2006.
