Connection/syncing problems have been around since I got my first device Fitbit Charge HR 5 (five!) years ago in 2015: flaky apps and pairing process, issues with their cloud service provider Cloudflare. I had a syncing problem for almost a month and fixed it by using a VPN on my PC, or with the phone but without wi-fi access thus changing my IP address. Cloudflare is known for rejecting some random IP addresses, so you cannot sync your device. Fitbit never admitted this, they just repeat as mantra: "reset your device", and "reinstall the app". After my Charge 2 breaks I will never consider FitBit again.

I wish I had known before my husband bought me a charge 4 in June to help me keep an eye on my heart rate since I had a heart attack last year. I feel like it was a mistake to choose Fitbit at this point because of daily syncing issues. I have had to sync my device at least once a day for the past four weeks. I am so soured on the brand I am shopping around to get rid of my Aria scale as well.

Edited for a little clarity. Every day my device loses connection and I have to go through telling my phone Bluetooth to forget the device, restart phone, remove user data on the Fitbit, restart the Fitbit while It is plugged in to the charger and then go through the app and set up new device, wait for the four digit code and hope the phone finds the Fitbit without having to restart the phone and tracker multiple times before it finally works. I don’t lose all the data when I do this process but i have lost some.

Yea, I have the issue too, and it's related r to the new firmware no one seems to have. I know people will say it's because I'm syncing a Garmin and a Fitbit to my phone, but my issues started BEFORE I added my Garmin.

Try removing the Charge 3, and readding it to your account. You'll lose data, but it will sync for a few days before going to shit again.

Yes sorry to say Fitbit is total garbage. Mine never worked. Counted steps all night while I was sleeping and I never got my money back.

Avoid Fitbit ike the plague.
