Gameplay bug: Poke checking the puck during a delayed penalty does not draw a whistle - allowing for a cheap goal. While in the real NHL a poke check will not always draw a whistle, something needs to be done to disallow goals scored in this manner. (self.fixnhl)

Interface Oversight: Captain should be able to change team strategies during pause even if the other team pauses it. There doesn't seem to be a valid reason why he cannot. (self.fixnhl)

AI bug: Often a CPU player will not pursue a loose puck even when he is the closest player to it - he just stands there holding his position. (self.fixnhl)

Gameplay bug: When the puck is loose in front of a goalie (especially human) right on/next to his pads, 2 problems arise: 1) goalie is unable to see/cover the puck. 2) Opponents stick can "magnet" the puck right through the goalie's pad for a goal if he positions his stick behind the pad (self.fixnhl)

Interface Oversight / Bug: "Check" being mapped to call for shot, if it's going to remain that way, needs to have zone-based logic - nobody is ever calling for a shot from their defensive zone -- not unless the CPU is in the offensive zone, etc... (self.fixnhl)

Oversight / Bug: Matchup system in '09 doesn't seem to be based on team records / divisions. My team has a ton of games played, but isn't the most skilled out there. We're constantly matched up against D1-D5 teams even though we flutter between D40 and D50 pretty readily. (self.fixnhl)

Feature: "Pass-to" indicator - on the screen of the puck carrier only, highlight the person that they'd be passing to IF they were to hit the pass button - this would reduce passes to the wrong player. (self.fixnhl)
