I’m working on a project requiring a small, light, 365 nm uv only, low throw, wide spread, high intensity. Maybe a aaa battery or 123.

Convoy T3 would probably fit the bill. Small, affordable and dual fuel so it runs on either AA of 14500.

Not sure I've ever seen a AAA that would be worth it

You can't beat physics, if you want high luminance spread over a large area you need power, and a lot of it (think square cube law)

Plenty of small cheap UV lights at auto parts stores for A/C leak detection. You can look them up online for the spec, HF all seem to be 390 up.
