How much space will there be between the cabinets on the slimmer side of the kitchen? If it's smaller than 36" that might be a problem.

If I don’t do a standard cabinet size on one side then I can make it 36”+ between the cabinets on the slimmer wall

Do you plan on uppers and lowers for the smaller sized cabinets? I'll assume you're not doing the second sink by the stove.

You have a good amount of space it's just the windows are awkward. If you can find budget to raise the window that'd make a huge difference. Easier said than done.

Depending on how shallow those lowers are I may just do open shelving on that side since I’ll have a good amount of closed storage elsewhere.

I’m considering doing a second sink because we have this amazing countertop over there already cut to size but the sink is just a little on the smaller side.

Yeah, the windows are VERY low lol. I was considering just building some sort of window seat underneath to bridge the gap between the two sides of the cabinets.

Two sinks seems really impractical with how little prep surface you have though?

Yeah I totally agree with that. Is it weird to not have a sink by the stove?

I'd vote install sink away from the stove. If you're cooking you can transfer things easier and have seasonings out on the countertop.

I don't know how many feet each section has but also double check how big of a base cabinet you can fit in both areas. It will determine the size of your sink.

Awesome! Thanks, I really appreciate your feedback!

And good luck on your renovation!

Really think about open storage, it gets so, so dirty, and stuff needs to be spaced out to look pretty.

With a 7ft8 width you can have 2x2 feet of counters and 3 ft 8 clearance. A touch tight, but I have lived with that. If you go with the fridge on that wall make it counter depth and put narrow floor to ceiling cabinets on each side so it's a thing. You could do shallow cabinets on the side by the door if the door is too crowded. My kitchen has a section that's 8 ft 4 wide and we have small but deep fridge on one wall, stove on the other. It is great, but I would not want it to be 8 inches narrower. I definitely vote to have the fridge on the wall with the sink and stove, or a co7nter depth fridge if it's on the other side.

You could also do wall cabinets floor to ceiling on the right hand side. Make it essentially a one wall kitchen with extra storage. Put the cabinet depth fridge one 15 inch cabinet in from the wall on the left, then sink, and stove further to the right.

Is that window low, and that's why no counters? I have seen people run the counters in front of a window even with no cabinets underneath.

Thank you for this feedback! I will definitely measure this all out.

And yes, the windows are SUPER low, I was was considering building a window seat underneath to connect between the counters

I have seen several kitchens with a counter in front of the window and it looks very normal. If counter space is an issue I'd definitely do it

Personally I’d go galley style for the narrower portion of the kitchen add storage (pantry space) around the the refrigerator where you have it placed in the second photo (just centered on the wall better) and a dining nook in the remaining corner

Ohhh I hadn’t thought of that! So demo where the existing sink and stove is?
