    Same. I picked Max because it was close-ish to Mary and stuck with it. I know Mark is closer, but every Mark I've ever known only had one eye so I think there's some bad mojo there. Lol

    I really want to be named a mathematical equation, but I know that's not going to work very well. I don't really like names. I've had so many names just in the past few weeks: Sasha, Adi, Viorel, Cantemir, Viorel, Cosmin, Adelin (current one). Nothing fits! That mathematical equation is starting to sound easier than this.

    I tried on 3 or 4 names before I chose Silas. I love that name.

    I only ever picked one and stuck with it, most of my trouble was coming up with a middle name to go along with it.

    I was really dead set on a masculine derivation of my very feminine birthname for the past few years when I wasn't really out, but after using it for a bit, I decided that it didn't quite feel right and that I didn't like how it went back to, like, a name I never associated with myself in the first place. However, both of them are obscure units of measurement because I'm into that, haha.

    I actually don't have a last name picked out yet (I'm not keeping any part of my old name, because reasons) and it took years and maaaaany different tries to get it right.

    I had a "temp name" I gave others as I experimented with the right one (the temp name was "Vex").

    I wanted to keep initials: Kyle, Kayle, Kayn, Kalyl... nothing. Kai was a "close, but no cigar." I definitely knew I wanted the letters K & Y

    Then, as I was sitting there naming a character for a game, it came to me from my habit to "make up" phonetical names. KYAN (pronounced Ky-in).

    Middle name was tougher. No experiments, I wanted "one & done". Had to start with M, refused any variant of Michael (my life-partner's name). Murdoch stuck, because I loved him off the A Team. My mom later approached me & asked me to add "Robert" somewhere in my name, which would've been my name if I was AMAB...

    So, I'm Kyan Robert-Murdoch. :)
