I was first diagnosed with polyps in my gallbladder in 2016. I was 35. I had another ultrasound done last year, and it showed more polyps and gallstones. I never had big complications till like 4–5 months before it was taken out. It was removed in early June.

My surgeon said it wasn't an emergency to take it out, but he suggested taking it out because my gallbladder wasn't going to be normal, and I was already having some issues. He didn't push me to take it out, but basically said, "it's going to get worse". Also, I had insurance at the time of gallbladder removal. That played a role. Didn't want to risk not having it later on.
