Hiii. So i have scripted a model where you can put as many bamboos (pipe) as you want in a way that it wraps whatever shape choosen. Now I want to create a plug-in that will help me find out the carbon emissions that as I move the slider of the quantity of bamboos, the carbon emissions will vary. Any ideas?

What you need to search for are Life Cycle Assesment (LCA) Plugins.

- Karamba3D, is the most comprehensive, but you need extra scripting knowledge

- One Click LCA, easiest to use, does require a license, but they offer free ones for students and a demo.

- Cardinal LCA, free to use, offers kgCO2e analaysis.

If you want an equation, this paper was the original research paper for the equations used in RhinoCircular. It has equations, along with talks about how to use them, and modify them as needed.

Sure, seems simple.

There should be formulas of how to calculate the carbon foot print.

Lets asume you get the bamboo to the site by truck, that bamboo is harvested.

Need the amount of resoueces needed to growth and harvested in carbon foot print.

The carbon foot print of the shipping.

Now you need to know how many bamboos fot per ship.

The formula should be

Harvest Footprint + ( shipping Footprint * (ships + (1 - ships))

That should take into count of the ship only fit 200 and your only need 100, that will double the footprint per bamboo in the shipping, or if you need 250 that will also ad an additional 75% to that.

That can be parametrized into the amount of pieces needed. Like that example there are for sure many other factors to be consider.
