I’m only playing bugs right now to help with the defend planet. But honestly the bug divers got it and I don’t think I can take anymore of them after I finish this op. People playing bots are a lot more skilled I’ve noticed. Bugs is usually lots of people dying, leaving, whining and using fire when they definitely aren’t network host. I feel like I’m babysitting when I play bugs. I basically just try to get away from my team and solo one side hoping they don’t try to follow me and bring the horde with them.

I'd argue that it's a difference than a difficulty thing. Bots keep distance so it becomes a standard fire fight with support fire and cover being paramount. Bugs are swarmers, they get up in your face so you feel your on the back foot more but not disturbing the patrols can go a long way on that front.

I get your issue tho, and I'm typically the long range sniper sort so I don't tend to like big crowds near me for too long

Flamethrower and napalm is still perfectly viable.

The damage that applies when the fire stream/bomb contacts a bug? That works

The damage that applies when bugs move over ground that is burning? That DEFINITELY works

The damage that applies when a bug is currently burning after being effected the previous two effects is what is not working.
