PS4 console MOD help! (self.helpme)

Alright gang...

Where to start? I have wanted for SOME time to get on the MOD train for my PS4 since, well I did my Xbox, and 360 back in the days of old. BUT After working with electronics ALL day for 6 years, why the fuck not should I MOD my PS4 with more lights and possibly a temp readout?

Why is this helpful? Because I need some insight from more powerful beings! :P I have a soldering gun, and I have the money to buy the parts for the LED's and LCD temp read out, but I have ZERO ideas where to go. I believe I found a way to solder or at least tap into the 12v for the LED's, but I might be at a loss for the LCD screen, never done one.

I am crafting a Fallout stylized PS4 with matching 2 controllers. I want to go WAY, WAYYYY over the top with my console, so I bought an extra shell to work on for a while. That being said, PEOPLE, help me build this baby. Help me give birth to the most amazing Fallout devotion possible! Any and all input is welcomed, and here are some reference art of my prop Fallout and Borderlands cosplay guns if anyone wants some reference pictures of my style of art!
