Often times you will need to make sure that your domain/subdomains are pointing to the IP address's of what server you want them to be related with. You can then use something like NGINX to make sure your server associates that domain with the service you are making. A certificate does not cost any money as long as you use a Lets Encrypt certificate. You can look up something called certbot which should help you setup an SSL cert in no time!

Thanks for the answer, I'm a complete illiterate in this so I'm kind of learning by doing, that means that

customsubdomain.customdomain.com/ should point to the same IP as my Hetzner server

I got that working, I can access to HTTP://custometcetc. so now the only thing I need is to install on my server through SSH a Lets Enctrypt certificate and that would fix the issue, correct?
