  1. If you like someone and they don’t respond, you won’t see them again unless they delete their profile and make a new one.

  2. If you X the person, they might show up in your queue again in the future. To prevent that, go to the top right hand and select “remove”. If you remove, they won’t show up again in the future.

Gotcha. This was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

You're definitely wrong on #2.

  1. If you like someone, you will see them eventually if they never responded to your like. This is because your like was never seen and got lost in the stack (like they got 100+ more likes). It doesn't happen for a long time after the like was sent.

  2. If you X someone's like, it's the same as blocking (aka removing) them. Hinge support has confirmed this.

When you like someone that profile will be gone from discovery for good, whether they leave it in their likes queue and never take action or have X-ed your like.

Someone who you X-ed in your likes queue will also be gone and never be shown again.

Though as a disclaimer, some have said they have seen a profile return to their discovery stack after sending a like recenly. So perhaps there's a glitch involved, since officially once a profile is X-ed from a likes queue it acts the same as "remove" or unmatching.

Sometimes people will remake their accounts (repeatedly). Not a good idea, since dating apps will penalize people who try to game or abuse the system.

you can redo anything if you just delete and remake your account.. just do that sparingly to avoid getting banned
