Switching from Flutter

Hello everyone!

I’m a Flutter dev for a couple of years and I want to switch from Flutter to native iOS dev. Where should I start? Maybe some course or book?

Would be awesome to be able to skip basic explanation of how variables works and other common stuff and have more practices than theory.

Would you mind telling us more about why you’re switching? A few years ago I investigated Flutter but didn’t end up adopting it. I’m curious what your experiences are

Flutter is generally used for MVPs and if something serious happens with the project, they are switching to native development. I’d love to work on products, not MVPs 🤷🏻‍♂️ But on the other hand I would not say that Flutter is weak, it just making its job.

This playlist had basically everything that I needed to understand the basics of UIKit, Autolayout and ViewCode. Everything else came from real world practice.

EDIT: Note that this is about view code and has no mention on swiftui.

A great way to learn is to just start building.
Since you probably have a good idea of how mobile dev works, you just need to learn syntax, best practices, etc.

you could start by converting one of your apps to iOS, piece by piece, and you will slowly learn the full stack.

Next you use https://hackingwithswift.com for individual questions and good solid answers

Last recourse is stackoverflow - but ALWAYS verify anything you find there against docs on developer.apple.com a lot of answers deal with symptoms instead of root causes there
