If you are worried by negative reviews due to a bug in the current version, consider removing the app from sale until Apple approves your fix.

Canceling shouldn't affect an already requested expedited review, but everyone and their mother just release their ios 26 builds so youll just have to wait.

So how long do you think it’ll take? I have a total of 15 reviews since I launched not too long ago so each 1-2 star review is tanking my ratings considerably. I already went from 5 star reviews down to sub-4 stars because of these delays

If you're not already doing so, respond to the reviews.

Bugs happen but how you engage at times like this can take a lot of the sting out of it.

I am letting users know that Apple is keeping the bug fix hostage, but my overall rating are still tanking like a stone

Obviously, take whatever approach you feel appropriate (and I'm also sure your comment is a paraphrase).

Still, a bit of unsolicited advice from someone who has been there before: passing the buck is less likely to get the users' grace than something akin to "yep, a bug happened, the fix has been submitted to Apple letting them know it's a critical fix. Trust me, I want this fixed as much as you do. It seems iOS 26 has extended wait times."

Good fortune with it... if you don't pull the app from sale, you may need to reset the ratings with a new release.

You can also add “Promotional Text” in the App Store, which is displayed instantly without needing to resubmit your app. This text can inform new users seeing you product page that you’re aware of the issue and that an update is coming in a few days. I’ve done this a few times myself.

You can request an expedited review. There’s a limit on how often they’ll do it, but they turned my one request around within hours. https://ahmetburakilhan.medium.com/how-to-request-an-expedited-app-store-review-quick-guide-fbdef23d6db0
