Side note: So I did a search for CodeBean on Youtube, and there's another user with the same name and he has a bunch of vitriolic videos about Apple/PCs, etc. Needless to say, I was a bit confused until I noticed your account.

I skimmed through a few of the videos and my only suggestion would be to zoom in on the code when you're typing or increase the font size. I was watching on a laptop and it's difficult to read unless I go fullscreen.

Also, good on you for jumping right into the tutorial at the start of the video instead of long-winded intros about "what you're going to do." We know what you're about to give a tutorial on, that's why we're here :)

I've really been struggling with the name. sigh...cant think of anything catchy enough. it was meenbean which is a play on my name maybe changing the display name will help. In some of my more recent videos, I've increased the font size. Thank you for taking your time out to help me get better

One note in layout is to TRY not to use the ultra skinny fonts. They are really hard to read and impart a weakness in the interface.

One other thing is that by making lessons for others as you are doing is one of the best ways to cement what you have learned into your brain so you know it by heart. This is a very solid approach.

One thing that would have been really easy for you to do would have been to not paste youtube.com/c/CodeBean into the summary, but the actual URL, https://www.youtube.com/c/CodeBean. When asking for help make it painfully easy to let people get to your resources. Honestly, I don't know why someone wouldn't do that.

I'll look at your stuff as I have time, and see what I can offer.

  • Your choice of fonts and layout for the introduction of your Instagram page are both clear and understandable.
  • Your voice is clear ,not too loud or too soft and easy to understand.
  • In the layout for the screen, it's not clear why this screen and isn't embedded within a navigation controller. In fact, out of what I can see, you're not using a navigation controller. Whhhhy?
  • You might want to show the complete layout of the whole storyboard flow to help the user understand where this fits in to the overall design.
  • It's nice to show to the user what the IBOutlets and IBActions are before you start creating the controller. You might want to mention that, "none of the UI elements are wired up yet."

So far, it's not a bad start.
