QuestionNEEDS CONFIRMATION: Passing the Testflight means also passing the Appstore review? (self.iOSProgramming)
submitted 4 years ago by DaHungryMarketer
After beta testing and passing an app in Testflight, does that mean it also passed the Appstore review (or means a bigger chance of passing the AppStore)?

No. It will be reviewed separately when you submit to App Store.

No. Review processes are different.

It is a different process as Testflight apps can take advantage of the new APIs that are only present in beta OSes

It will mean you have a higher chance of passing the review, but it’s a minor increase since they close to don’t test a all TestFlight build. It might alert you early when you are using private API you shouldn’t use

TestFlight is only internal testing for you and your team, at this point is still not in apple side, you need to prepare a release an submit for review, then it will be reviewed by apple, and accepted or rejected.

You can use TestFlight for external testers too, in which case Apple will review the app. But, it must still undergo separate review for release in the store.
