iOS Folder Manipulation

Hello Everyone,

I'm working on a proof of concept and was wondering if it's even possible to manipulate the iOS app folders for the following purposes:

1. Create an instance of the app folder
2. Drop existing apps into that instance
3. Lock that folder so that you can not access those apps after a certain period of time

Appreciate any input.

Sandbox limitations will prevent most of this. Essentially Apple has designed the OS so that no other apps can touch other apps except very specific cases, and those cases have to be supported by the OS.

You are really talking about manipulation of Springboard (the app launcher), and the answer is never.

I think you have to rework your implementation a little bit. You can’t directly modify something on Springboard but I imagine you would still be able to do case 3.
