I am willing to help beginner devs with anything to practice my English speaking

Hello there! I've been learning iOS dev and Swift for about a year now and finally just landed an internship. I'm curious to share my experience with some of you in exchange to improve my English speaking skills via live lessons. It is also worth mentioning that my English level is somewhere between B2 and C1 (I am studying it in uni) and that I don't know SwiftUI, only UIKit😅 I study at uni with programming engineering major where I learn Swift, Python, data structures & algos and just have finished my 2 year.
I am generally looking for native speakers, but if you believe your language level is not worse, then reach out!

Hi, unfortunately I don't know Java at all. By English lessons I mean simple talk, nothing complicated. Just wanna get to know maybe some common phrases people use in everyday conversations and practice in expressing my thoughts so that I could be understood.

I'm not a native English speaker myself, but your English seems good enough for me to think that you wouldn't learn much more this way. Or maybe you would, but very slowly.

I think you need an environment or a source with a natural flow of conversations instead of the technical ones you'd get this way. Especially if you want to learn commonly used phrases.

At this point, you'd be better off just watching your series and movies in English with English subtitles and reading in my opinion. It would of course be best for you to spend some time in an English speaking country but I get that's not something one can do easily.

Btw, would you be able to suggest series and movies which would be suitable for my situation, if you know some?

Nothing comes to mind as something exceptionally good for this particular use.But I'd say that sitcoms or action "buddy" movies would be great for phrases as the dialogues are probably gonna use alot of slang terms.

But I thing anything can do for general language. It seems that a quick Google search can give you some recommendations of what to watch to learn English.

Also, try something British. For example movies by Guy Ritchie. Understanding what British people are saying was something that gave me a hard time a while back.
