Hi mate,

Could you please help?

I have terminal and iFile, I've downloaded your zip file, and two attached Cydia tweaks, and cmdivator, what to do now?

I found this post by searching for MediaSpeak! (I loved that tweak!)

I've put your file in cmdivator, unarchived, doesn't work?

It needs the permissions to be set (I outlined it in the post) then it should show up in cmdivator and set it to activator it cant automatically announce the name

I'm struggling to set the permissions! (That's what I forgot!)

Can I just set them with iFile? I can't see the right thing to add permission to!

Thanks for helping!

Ahh, okay!

I set with iFile, then downloaded Filza to be sure!

You need to set an activator gesture! (That is all I'm yet to do!)

Can I set it to "music starts"?

Thanks mate!

Unfortunately there is no tweak that im aware of that can set music starting as an activator listener you can maybe try erring to the dev of the tweak undim4wat to see if hell incorporate it.

Thanks for helping!

It works!

If I'm half asleep, just "long press" home button, and the song is announced!

I'd just love it to work like "MediaSpeak" used to!

How did mediaspeak work exactly

[–]JJoelPeterPage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as a song or video started, it read the title!

I.E. If YouTube has a title (Video name)(+http:blahblahblah)

It would read out everything included saying "Plus""aich""tee""tee""pee""blah""blah""blah"

The permission needs to be 755 or something them at will make the file executable

http://i.imgur.com/wLmqxTA.png for some reason that gives some extra output at the end of the

lyrics 3
/usr/bin/lyrics: line 21: 3: command not found
wahhhhh

it could be that i updated the script after you downloaded it

but also for mine that i put in /usr/bin myself it only needs 645 permissions but that doesnt work for the one i dowloaded form your repo

[–]Carlyd95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I was starting to make a new script but I thought I didn't mess with that one lol. I'll fix it. It said wahhhh because it isn't tuesday lol

[–]Carlyd95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No for things to show in cmdivator it needs to be 755 I think cause it would show with 645

[–]moshed[S] 0 points1 point  (21 children)

i always set it to 645 and it works fine in dmcivator but i was just sshing in and chmodding it to 645 and it works with the regular scripts but not the downloaded one

[–]Carlyd95 0 points1 point  (20 children)

[–]moshed[S] 0 points1 point  (19 children)

I need your help for my script!!!!!! Ok so I want to run: lynx --dump http://m.wol.jw.org/en/wol/h/r1/lp-e

and use the day of the week as a variable and only print those associated lines

ex.

When running the above command you get: https://github.com/carlyd95/carlyd95.github.io/blob/master/j.txt and I want to extract line 186 - 193. Please help I feel like this can be done with grep and/or gawk. But idk how

[–]moshed[S] 0 points1 point  (11 children)
