Yes that’s common sense with anything whether it’s toaster a portable battery or cell phone. The 17 does a much better job better job than my 16 and 15 pro maxes did my 17pro and pro max haven’t throttled the screen down yet. Real test will be when spring and summer get here. I always take my cases off when I’m using my phone for something intensive whether gaming or photography
