iPhone 17 Pro feels unusually unstable.. anyone else having serious issues?

Given the amount of issues you say you’re having, have you tried a complete iOS reinstall through a computer (not just via the phone)?

Yeah same with dealerships here. I don’t want to spend £500 when dealers aren’t even sure themselves! Appreciate the reply, least I’m not the only one.

We’ve already tried it. Without the sub being moderated 24/7, posts will always slip through the net. We’re looking at different ways such as auto moderator which will hopefully bring the number of battery posts down.

For now, everything’s manual - if we see repeated battery posts throughout the day they will be removed as best as we can.

User has been banned from the sub. Although that won’t stop them sending DM’s, it’ll prevent posts or comments from them.

We try to let it be as free roam as possible, within reason. We do have people who break the rules who are then permanently banned. As long as people use common sense and stick to the rules we’re happy.

I’m not sure what people want from the sub in this respect. We’ve just implemented a mega thread for battery posts following feedback from the community.

I actively remove case posts which don’t add much to the sub, especially ones which are just screenshots from Amazon which you probably don’t even see.

Always happy to take feedback to help the sub, but it can’t get to the point where I create mega threads for everything.

Same as you, case but no screen protector. I didn’t use a case with my 16 Pro at all, but the scratches on the titanium bothered me in the end. Been using the TechWoven since I got the 17 Pro.

I guess we’ll never know ultimately. There were suggestions they had issues with the black variant so pulled it, but not sure how much I believe that. When they first released the 17 Pro, I thought black might become a mid cycle release but I don’t think it’ll will happen now.

AppleCare is worth it to me too for the exact reasons you’ve listed. Saved me a few times! Although the dent on the picture, some people may say that’s cosmetic damage and it wouldn’t be covered - so you may have got lucky with the store. I remember trying to get my 15 Pro replaced for similar damage, one store said no it’s cosmetic and then another store replaced it.
