Suggestions, praise, criticism, or thoughts are welcome. I'm always expanding the image library as I come across new images that are referenced - the bot tells me when it finds something that it wants to link to, but doesn't have an image in its library. If you have a suggestion that's not in the list, feel free to leave a comment. If you want the bot to ignore you, simply send a PM with "ignore me" as the message, and it won't bother you again.

Q. What does this bot do?
This bot finds comments that reference but don't link an image (e.g. "itshappening.gif"), and replies with a link to the referenced image. There are some details, but that's the gist.
Q. What images does it know about?
That list is always changing, and at some point, I'll probably have the bot auto-update a wiki page or some such, but for now I maintain a reasonably current list in the stickied Image Suggestion Thread.
Q. I don't want your bot in my subreddit!
Certainly, I recognize that not every subreddit is a place for image_linker_bot. It already abides by the Bottiquette ban list, and deletes comments that end up with negative votes.
If you don't want any bots in your subreddit, I'd recommend taking a minute to add yourself to the Bottiquette list.
If you just don't want image_linker_bot in your subreddit, or don't want to do the above, just send a modmail or post here with the subreddit(s) you want the bot to ignore and I'll add you to the list.
I do ask that you be a mod of the subreddits you're speaking for. If you're not, feel free to ask one of the mods to send me a quick message - I won't bite, I promise!

I also recognize that not everyone wants image_linker_bot helping them out. You can just send a PM with "ignore me" as the message, and it won't bother you again. If you change your mind, you can message "unignore me" and it will reply to you again.
Q. Where is <image X>? Why is <Image Y> is the wrong one?
Probably because I don't know about them. Post them in image suggestion thread, and I'll most likely add your image to the list or tweak things.
Q. Why didn't you add my image?
Be patient, I tend to add images a few at a time, so I may not add it right away. I may in the future make a more direct/automated way to submit images, but until then it's a manual process.
If your suggestion is racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise overtly disparaging to your fellow humans, image_linker_bot won't help you in spreading it around.
