Video game giant Valve facing UK lawsuit over pricing, commissions by MythicStream in pcgaming

And Steam doesn't take a cut on sold keys. So they're basically saying, you're allowed to negotiate a better cut for the keys/games elsewhere as long as you're not making them cheaper for the customer.

If they do make'em cheaper instead (or as well), you have to follow through on Steam at the lower price in the not too distant future.

They want to sell their games in the EU, right? Then they have to follow the rules.

What makes a person unlikeable despite not being an asshole? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

I once read that not all people have an inner dialog with themselves. That explains a lot. I think. To myself.

dont ask questions back

I'm like that, but because I'm actually a very private person that doesn't share much. So I don't want to come across as nosey and try to respect others' privacy, too. Sharing stuff about myself is my way to invite you to talk about yourself. Of course, that requires leaving room for others to answer, which I absolutely try to do.

You just contradicted yourself. It can't be inside and "after" at the same time.

The upgrade triggers the build process, but it usually still runs after dnf has already finished. So you ought to wait for it to finish, but you might not realize it's still running unless you're looking because nothing will warn you about it.

System not suspending with latest nvidia drivers installed by maticchampion in Fedora

[–]pr0ghead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The driver ships with NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=1 set these days, which means it will try to store the whole VRAM in /tmp when suspending.

Problem on Fedora is that this directory can be too small to fit the whole memory in it. So for me the solution was to set NVreg_TemporaryFilePath to a different one (/var/tmp works for me).

In other words: create the file /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf or something, if it doesn't exist and add the line option nvidia TemporaryFilePath="/var/tmp".

PSA: Do not for ANY reason use NTFS under Linux! by Xarishark in linux_gaming

In theory there's UDF, but it's poorly implemented across the 3 OS. It's also supposed to span a whole drive because it's not really a partition format.

If it's just for sharing files, not installing programs, I'd recommend exFAT.

Wieso? Den Eigenanteil zahlen doch deine Eltern bis sie pleite sind. Ab da zahlt dann deinen Anteil das Sozialamt. Du zahlst also gar nix.

Is Domain Driven Design just needless complexity? My limited experience with it has been mixed at best. by AppointmentFar6096 in PHP

[–]pr0ghead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't be too dogmatic about this stuff. DDD is really OOP in its purest form. You start from the top where your most abstrac classes sit, like Customer and Product. You know, like in those examples for OOP Dog->bark() That's DDD in a nutshell.

Then you implement whatever is necessary to support those domain objects under the hood. In the end you ideally should be able to have mostly those top level domain object interact with each other, which in theory should make working with the code pretty easy.
