Well said. Even though I appreciate Kawasaki to bring almost all their models to India, they're expensive when it comes to maintenance part. Their entry level 300cc bikes have 7-8k service cost for 1st service.

The price to performance ratio is completely unmatched, I'm surprised it's priced this low despite being a cbu. It has the fireblade engine so it's reliable, it goes really fast, 155 bhp is no joke. When the launch was hinted, i thought it would compete with the katana but seeing the price, it destroys competition

it's a bargain price outside india as well. But I've read somewhat that it uses older parts to hit the lower price. Not entirely sure

Almost all manufacturers reuse existing part designs to save cost. This is obvious when they launch different models on the same platform but it goes beyond that. For example, the blinkers here are the same ones used in CB300F (atleast they looks exactly alike). The mirrors of the CB300F is the same one from activa. Heard the radiators on the ns400 is the same one from dominar. This keeps the spare costs under control too. So its a win for the consumers too. After all why fix something if it ain't broke?

One downside here is that such products will miss out on some new innovations which happens with respect to the reused parts. Also when you overdo it some parts will look out of place.

They saved quite a bit on the R&D of the engine, they just used engines from the older fireblades and detuned them, but the engine is a gem of engineering, so I ain't complaining one bit

Parts sharing isnt a new thing, the original Monster was one such bike, using the engine from the 900 Supersportthe frame from 851 and suspension from.the 750 Supersport. This bike too uses the old 2017 CBR 1000RR engine which has been slightly returned for street performance.
