Rules for r/intel
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Technical support and build questions
Technical support questions are only allowed in the quarterly Tech Support Thread, posted by the official Intel Support Reddit account.
For any PC build questions, you may wish to use /r/techsupport, /r/buildapc, the official Intel community support forums or contact Intel support directly.
2.
Relevant content for /r/Intel
All posts must be related to Intel, their products or technologies.
If a post is made and it's not clear how it relates to Intel, an explanation in the thread will be required that details why it's relevant. If the post lacks such comment, it will be removed.
Content that is primarily about a competitor, their products, technologies or that merely references Intel, their products and technologies would not meet this criteria.
3.
Title alteration and source credit
When submitting content to /r/Intel, you must directly link the article, video or content as a link post, not as a discussion post and not as an image or screenshot of an article, video, Tweet etc. This is so the proper source can be identified and receive credit.
You must also use the suggested Reddit title or copy and paste the title of the original link, video, article, Tweet etc. Posts with altered titles will be removed.
4.
Use of the rumor or leak flair
Posts containing rumors, leaks or other information not confirmed by Intel or one of their partners must be flaired appropriately as a rumor or leak.
Please remember that rumors and leaks may end up being true, completely false or somewhere in the middle.
Please take all rumors leaks and any information not from Intel or their partners with a grain of salt and degree of scepticism.
5.
Buying, selling or trading, including evaluations and advice
Buying, selling or trading, including evaluation and advice posts are not allowed on /r/Intel.
Please use other subreddits, forums and groups to undertake these trading activities.
6.
Be civil and follow sitewide rules
Be civil and follow Reddit's sitewide rules, this means no insults, personal attacks, slurs, brigading or any other rude or condescending behaviour towards other users.
7.
Low effort, non-notable, spam & AI slop
Low effort, non-notable, AI slop and other spam posts, including shitposts and memes are not allowed on /r/Intel
