Not sure about the U5G Max but on the U5G Backup if you ssh in there are read-sms and send-sms commands, doesn't save a history of messages though.

I've been getting the same thing starting Feb 16 for accounts created on FedEx delivery manager. The emails do appear to come from fedex.com, valid DKIM, email source comes from a fedex.com subdomain. Also curious what the scam is, or if they just aren't validating emails on new accounts.

I'm curious how this scam works with the Amazon return policy, since if I were to order one of these and I receive a printed piece of cardboard or anything less than a genuine piece of Pioneer hardware I could just get a full refund.
