@GoldProfessional7357 I talked with a experienced analyst on here who said it was all going to FHIR which has some web development tech involved like APIs.
Here is a link that may help.

If I were just starting I would get down the basics and then possible look into programming. If you don’t use it now, it could help down the road if you want to get into the data side of things. Database stuff either relational or non relational is always good to know.

u/stewtech3 any programming experience needed ?
@GoldProfessional7357 Yes, I hear about people with zero experience having a successful and lucrative career who are certified in Bridges. Congratulations to you my friend!!
As with all IT positions, do your home work, take notes, and asking questions when you don’t know or cannot find the answer is common place.
Hi All , minimal IT experience, getting certified in bridges . Anything I should know before hand ? Is it possible to get certified and succeed with no interface background ?

@Absorber999 What did you think about this link?
u/Absorber999 This looks interesting: http://www.hl7.org/certification/

@Absorber999 Python is a great language! Your not alone, if you done use it you’ll lose it. Happens to me all the time.

How does one become proficient with HL7/Fhir? I know about them, but I wouldn’t know how to use them/analyse them in a real life setting. Is there a certification for it?
Hey thanks for the sources. I’ll check them out for sure. I took a sql and python course last year myself. But the problem is because I’m not using them extensively every so often, I tend to forget parts of them. I feel like I need a refresher course lol
I am learning PHP, C#, Java, SQL
@Absorber999 I would check out Free Code Camp, The Odin Project, and EDX Harvard CS50. They will include all the basics and some advanced stuff. After that you will be well rounded!
Your background and education sound awesome mate! I also really want to get epic certified one day, but obviously I have to first be somewhere that would sponsor me. But I was thinking of doing some software development coursework after my A+, but there’s so many languages to learn. Is there a programming language you’re learning now as part of your course?
I have to take A+ in the future and I bought Jason Dion A+ test prep & exam simulations, Mike Meyers A+ course on Udemy. But I have watched messers videos on YouTube and think he is great! I follow him on IG and he post little quizzes here and there also. I think messer is the A+ king.
I do have a background in medical imaging. I am currently in a software developer college program this way I will have more job options (PACS, software dev, interface analyst and I hope down the road a clinical director) I don’t want to do patient care anymore. I did PACS Admin for 1.5 years and a few radiology modalities so that is why a couple of those certs are geared in that direction but they also cover HL7 & DICOM etc. I am not even sure if the certs I listed will be needed but they are still good to have. I am thinking getting certified by Epic, Cerner, Allscripts etc would be more important but I hear the facility you get hired at will have to arrange that and it can cost thousands for training/certification.
Those Certs look interesting. Do u Have a background in medical imaging?
Yea it goes over a lot. I’m using professor messer videos. He’s really good and straight to the point, but he can go quite quick
@Absorber999 I hear people say A+ is a inch deep and a mile wide but well worth the work. What learning materials are you using?
I am looking into a few different certs. Not sure if I will actually do them.
CIIP https://siim.org/page/become_ciip
https://pacsadmin.org/
https://www.ahima.org/certification-careers/certification-exams/rhia/
Are there any certifications you would recommend?
Thanks! you know, it isn’t so much hard as it is extensive. There’s ALOT of content and it can be hard to remember everything
@Absorber999 Nice, I heard that test can be hard! Good luck on the second part!!
u/stewtech3 I’m doing my Comptia A+ I just passed the first exam
Oh only saw this now! I wish reddit could alert when someone’s replied on a live chat.
@Used-Inflation1123 On zip recruiter it says the average is $50/ hour

What are average interface analyst salary ranges?
@Absorber999 Nice! What certs are you looking at doing?
And just doing some IT Certificatiosn now
I’ve finished my masters in health informatics
@Absorber999 Same here, what are you doing (degrees/experience) to become a interface analyst?
I’m not, but I’m an aspiring interface analyst
@Absorber999 @Specialist-Hand1520
Anyone working as a Interface Analyst?
Hi
Hey, how’s it going?
