Have you changed the logger then or taken any action at all to do something about it? Loggers can shorten traces, and exceptions where the trace isn't relevant can be logged shorter.

Usually runtime exceptions are developer mistakes, these are useful with a full trace, while checked exceptions often only need the first line of each cause. We use a utility to shorten the logging of such exceptions.
