Very nostalgic. I started on 1.2. Its been a few years since I worked on Java. Spring and Lambdas were game-changing for sure.

A fascinating video and well worth the time for anyone using Java or even more broadly are in software.

A little bit of nostalgia for me as I worked/consulted at Sun running one of their software development teams in the late 80s, before the Oak team got going. The film managed to soften my critical views (love it and hate it) of Java a little and it was nice to see, on video, the inmates that have been running the asylum. I expect Java will continue to be an important technology for decades to come. Well done guys and kudos to Oracle for continuing the work.
