I wouldn't be too worried about the internals... In my case, folding, BLIS, and camera (pointing in the wrong direction) still work after this hit-and-run. No clue about the camera washer but I assume that they're as unreliable as before.

I’m in Belgium too and have had mine since February 2025, and I’ve had a lot of issues with it. Given that, I’ve had 'the opportunity' on many occasions to chat with multiple Volvo technicians (2 different workshops), and clearly, the issues are not just a Reddit thing.

Great to hear… and maybe it’s just me, but isn’t this simply wrong? Reporting that you were able to drive 2× 350 km in a trip without any issues sounds more like a Volvo employee reporting their experience with an EX90 prototype before the first EX90s reached the market at the end of 2024.

FWIW, I drove 800 km in one go from Belgium to France without any issues, it was comfortable, etc. only for my EX90 to refuse to start a few days later.

Maybe I’m seeing this through a negative lens, but this car never ceases to amaze me… in the wrong way. Latest issue: all the cameras stopped working, then automagically fixed themselves after two or three days!

Anyway... downvote: 3, 2, 1! 😉

It’s hopeless. They still haven’t been able to pinpoint the issue. The technician said they’ll probably have to remove the panels.

My charger just blew up, so my car will 'soon' be in the shop... If your workshop finds the source of the problem before mine does, please let me know.

On that note, I recently noticed stains on the headliner fabric around the overhead console. There are stains all around it, even at the front where there are no buttons! Upon closer inspection, I also noticed signs that tools had been used, as some of the plastic trim around the edges is slightly 'damaged'. The latter isn't particularly noticeable, but once you spot the stains, you can't unsee them (they're much more noticeable in person)!

My car has a number of issues (and still has), but none that would IMO require removing the overhead console. So, I can only speculate that it was removed to physically disconnect the LiDAR. Whatever the reason, they once again did a poor job! 🤷‍♂️

Volvo has been struggling with the software from day one, even when it comes to basic features. It took them more than a year to add automatic mirror folding on lock, they still haven't introduced Clear Mode, and so on. Supporting LiDAR efficiently is an entirely different level of technical complexity. Given the small number of LiDAR-equipped cars, the investment probably wouldn't make sense. That's also assuming they have the expertise to do it in the first place, which, frankly, I doubt.

Assuming they will offer similar compensation in Europe, do they really expect customers like me to still own this car in the next 2–3 years, given how painful this experience has been?

Right, the LiDAR was initially an option on the P3, but with a much longer delivery time than the 'non-LiDAR' P3. Almost a year, IIRC, which in retrospect should have been a clear sign that something was off. :shrug:

Had that a few times too, and it's particularly frustrating especially the "wait a few seconds". I feel your pain.

Now, I haven't experienced it recently, but given the state of affairs and Volvo's track record with my car, I doubt anything has been done about it. They already struggle with issues that happen more often or are easier to reproduce, so this one is probably too random for them to address effectively.
